Sean W. Grimes

I build brand systems that hold together while they change.

For 23 years I owned the entire brand and design function at the Prostate Cancer Foundation — five full rebrands, the guideline systems behind them, packaging, publications, campaigns, and a flagship scientific conference I produced for 21 consecutive years. Currently looking for my next role.

About

I spent 23 years as the design department at the Prostate Cancer Foundation — a $55M international organization — reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Communications and serving every department in the building.

Working that lean shapes how you operate. I learned to prioritize ruthlessly, to tell a director no without damaging the relationship, and to find the version of an idea that's ninety percent as good for forty percent of the cost. I built the function in-house rather than through agencies, which took roughly $200,000 a year out of outsourced creative spend.

The work ran from identity systems and packaging through publications, campaigns, environmental graphics, and event production. Over that time I led five full rebrands and built the guideline system behind each one.

The Foundation restructured its funding model in 2026 and my position was eliminated. I'm looking for a growing consumer or technology brand where the brand is the product and the feedback loop is fast.
